We are looking for volunteers to drive Emmaus Village Carlton vehicles and ensure the safe transportation of goods and passengers to/from the Emmaus community.
Essential skills:
Full & clean driving licence; reasonably fit with the ability to lift, carry and manoeuvre furniture; ability to work with vulnerable adults; excellent customer service; good communication skills; highly motivated with a positive and flexible approach.
Role includes:
Safe loading and unloading of goods to ensure secure transit, collection/deliveries to/from customer’s homes, working with Companions and staff, transporting Companions to medical appointments, transporting Companions to our solidarity activities in the evening.

What are we looking for?
Ideally we need people who can either donate at least half a day to drive the van and/or be available for a couple of hours to transport companions to appointments during the day time or in the evening to support companion solidarity activities.
All relevant training will be provided along with a full induction, paid travel expenses and lunch on the day you volunteer. Community vehicle is available to use on volunteering duties on evidence of driving licence. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
