We’re delighted to have been chosen as one of the Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire’s nominated charities. Emmaus Village Carlton is one of five charities which will now benefit from a special St George’s Day Concert at Bedford Corn Exchange.

The Regimental Band of Her Majesty’s Coldstream Guards will be visiting the Bedford Corn Exchange on St. George’s Day, Tuesday 23 April 2019, to deliver a concert celebrating the feast day of England’s patron saint. The concert aims to raise money for the Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire’s nominated charities, including Emmaus.

Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Bedfordshire is our patron Helen Nellis who said:

“I am thrilled we have such a famous military band coming to play for us and even more thrilled that we will be able to support these five Bedfordshire based charities while listening to superb music”.

The Coldstream Guards were formed by General George Monck in 1650 and their cap badge is the cross of St. George. The band was formed in 1685 so it is one of the oldest military bands in the world. Therefore, what could be more fitting than to have them play a programme of quintessentially English music to mark the nation’s patron’s day?

Tickets for the concert are priced at £12 or £10 for concessions. If you wish to make a night of it you can purchase a VIP ticket for £50 which gives you access to the VIP seating in the balcony, two drinks receptions (pre-show and interval) a free programme and a souvenir gift. ALL proceeds will go to the chosen charities.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.bedfordcornexchange.com or by phone on 01234 718044 or in person at the Corn Exchange box office.
