New video of Terry Waite event
Can you spot yourself in this new video of our December 2017 fundraising evening?
Many thanks to Emmaus Village Carlton supporter Chris Forsdike who filmed this for us.
The Festive Evening with Terry Waite was a huge success, raising £1,900. As part of Emmaus Village Carlton's commitment to supporting other local causes, all the money raised will be donated to FACES, a Bedfordshire charity offering practical and emotional support to families under stress.
The event, on Monday 18th December, was held in our Bistro. Terry Waite, President of Emmaus UK, took on the role of guest-auctioneer for a grand charity auction. The auction lots, donated by local supporters, included a drag-racing experience, a tour of Twickenham World Rugby Club, boat rental and a holiday in a French villa.
The evening also offered guests the chance to meet Mr Waite, win prizes in a Christmas raffle and enjoy a show by the Emmaus Village Carlton Community Choir & Band performing festive favourites. Choir & Band members included staff and companions (formerly homeless people now being supported by our charity).
Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful event.
