Emmaus Village Carlton host Family Fun Day

Emmaus Village Carlton will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday 6 June, having teamed up with local organisations to offer a fun packed day for families to enjoy.

Running from 9.30am to 4.30pm, the day will feature a range of stalls and activities to suit all ages. Local crafting organisation, The Purple Fig Tree Hand Crafts, will be running a craft stall, while Workwars Mobile Paint Ball Alley have organised a paint ball alley for the more energetic of visitors.

Local companies Sweet Petite and Honey Bee Natural will have stalls, providing unique refreshments, a candy floss machine and sweets throughout the day. There will also be plenty to occupy younger children, as Tumble Tots Activities will be providing a soft play area alongside a bouncy castle and face painting.

Speaking of the event, Pauline Curl, Operations Manager at Emmaus Village Carlton, said: “With our Family Fun Day we wish to bring the local community together, while showcasing some of the best talent in the area and creating a fun family friendly event for everyone to attend.

“We’re excited to be working with such a great range of local organisations, with each of them bringing something unique to the event. The day is a fantastic opportunity for local people to see what Emmaus is all about, as companions (formerly homeless people) have worked hard to bring the day together.”

Emmaus Village Carlton is one of 25 communities in the UK, working to support companions by providing them with a stable home and meaningful work.

Entry to the event is free, with a refreshments stall and café on site.
