Our Partners

Emmaus Suffolk works with a partnership of about 40 organisations from across a wide range of sectors, all with an interest in homelessness in Ipswich as a member of the ILHP. Ipswich Locality Homeless Partnership.

We co-ordinate our work with a number of services in Ipswich already working with people who are homeless and/or rough sleeping, including an Assertive Street Outreach Service based at the Chapman Centre.

The Chapman Centre : 01473 232426  Open Mon – Fri 10 – 2 pm
1 Black Horse Lane, Ipswich, IP1 2EF

Assertive Street Outreach Project and breakfast club for people found sleeping rough by outreach workers, or who are using emergency overnight accommodation and the Ipswich Winter Night Shelter. Low cost cafe, advice on a range of issues including benefits and housing problems. Access to computers and other support services. Shower facilities.

Target group

Rough sleepers and people who are homeless or socially excluded.

As a partnership, we have worked hard over the years to develop an agreed approach to supporting people who are homeless and/or rough sleeping, with the focus being on supporting people to get off the streets rather than to stay on the streets.

Help Our Homeless Campaign

Multi agency partners are campaigning to address the issues around homelessness and begging in Ipswich.  The aim of the campaign is to raise the awareness of the support available and help those in need to find long term sustainable solutions to get off the streets. It is not to criminalise rough sleeping but to highlight the support available and help protect the most vulnerable in our community.
