Our Vision
During the last 12 months, Emmaus Suffolk has been through a period of sustained growth, which has seen the charity change its name from Emmaus Ipswich to Emmaus Suffolk. This name change has enabled the organisation to provide its services more widely across the county. To facilitate this expansion this Business Plan has been produced to ensure effective implementation. It serves to address two key areas,
· The business planning of our social enterprises
· The development of our housing project.
The plan states our intentions and methodologies and will be monitored on a regular basis to ensure that our stated good practice is being implemented.
By 2021 we aim to:
· Be a Suffolk wide group of social enterprises that generate sufficient income to be self-sustaining, offering both volunteer and employment opportunities to the most vulnerable in Suffolk, and
· Have a Social Housing Enterprise business that offers long term tenancies to our NRC’s; whilst they volunteer with Emmaus Suffolk and beyond into employment/education, for as long as they require it.
