Executive Lead- Claire Staddon
Claire has over 10 years of experience in service delivery within the voluntary sector, together with business experience in the private sector. An entrepreneur, specialising in start-ups, social enterprise and the third sector, Claire is also a trained coach and facilitator and has used Neuro-linguistic programming techniques alongside her business and project delivery experience to drive success.
Operations Manager: Mandy Logan
Mandy's experience to date includes Case Management & support in a Prison environment to support rehabilitation for offenders in preparation for release. She has a demonstrable history as a social entrepreneur working in a non – profit organisation management industry and is skilled in Service Development. A strong community and social services professional who has focused her skills developing management practice in coaching, counselling and personal development, Mandy is now instrumental in implementing processes that underpin good business practice and embed and maintain processes to support the strategic business development.
Area Retail Manager: Gill Dibben
Prior to joining Emmaus, Gill worked for Mind, the leading Mental health charity for England and Wales for fourteen years. She was branch manager at the Ipswich shop for ten years and from 2011, she was the flagship store manager in Stoke Newington, north London, making it the most profitable and highest turnover shop out of over 150 branches in the country, breaking records for highest trading week and highest trading day ever, a record still held today.
Community Leader- Emma Francis
Emma has worked in the supported housing sector for over ten years, providing support to vulnerable young people in areas such as housing, benefits/money matters, physical and mental health, training/ education and community work. Emma has also worked for the Ipswich Housing Action Group, as an adviser in their community resource centre for vulnerable marginalised adults. Both of these roles has involved partnership working, advocacy, signposting and helping individuals build their self esteem and empower themselves to move forward with confidence and life skills. Emma continues to also work for Terrence Higgins Trust as sessional worker, promoting sexual health awareness in the community of Ipswich and surrounding areas.
Deputy Retail Manager:
Mandy Muhs first volunteered with us before becoming a staff member in May 2016. For many years Mandy worked at Ipswich County Court as an Administrative Officer during which time she was responsible for many duties including customer service and court clerking. She left the court service to return to full time education at University of Suffolk and graduated in 2016 with a first class honours degree in English.
Deputy Retail Manager: Abby Deszo
Abi joined Emmaus Suffolk towards the end of 2016, as a volunteer, after a number of years unemployed due to health reasons. In April 2017 we offered Abby the opportunity to become a part time member of staff and as of July 2018 she became our second deputy manager. She has a keen interest in fashion and loves working with vintage clothes as well as the face to face customer contact
