Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney supports formerly homeless people who now live and work in our community. When someone joins an Emmaus community as a companion, they have the opportunity to stay for as long as they like and learn new skills in our Ditchingham and Bungay shops and the Old Orchard Café.

We are often asked by local community groups, schools and other organisations to give a talk that explains more about the issues around homelessness and how Emmaus works.

Our talks are presented by Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney Chief Executive, Cecile Roberts, as well as current companions living in our community.

Each talk covers the history of Emmaus, what Emmaus means to us, our community, and the realities of homelessness from the perspective of companions.

Talks last approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour. We do not charge for the talks, but we are happy to receive a donation towards our work.

To book Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney for a talk, please fill in our enquiry form and someone will get back to you or contact us directly at 01986 895444 or [email protected]
