Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness.
Emmaus provides a home and meaningful work for as long as someone needs it
You can make a difference, by donating, getting involved or visiting one of our shops.
We're converting the upstairs of Abbe Pierre House into a unique Bed and Breakfast!
We don't just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, meaningful work and a sense of belonging.
Being in the community is better for me. I don’t feel so alone now. You can always talk to people here; they know what you’re going through, and you can relate to each other.
You get so much appreciation here and I absolutely love it. I think if people just came and tried volunteering for a few hours and had a chat and a tour, they’d love it too.
I feel very blessed I am now part of this community: the Emmaus community.
To me Emmaus offers hope. It gives people a chance to get back on their feet and provides security and safety as people work out their way forward.
Chloe has been a companion for just over 6 months and works in our Social Enterprises and around our community. Chloe is in recovery and shared her story with us during Alcohol Awareness Week 2022.
In the community you don’t even have to say anything, people know you so well and they know you might need a chat or you’re having a hard day
I decided I wanted to share my story with the community, so stood up in a community meeting one day and told them. I was incredibly nervous about sharing it, but everyone has been very welcoming.
