Emmaus Herts raise £255 for Emmaus UK in 220ft abseil challenge
Two people at Emmaus Hertfordshire completed a 220ft abseil challenge on Friday 7 September 2018 to help raise money to build new rooms in Emmaus communities across the UK.
Community Operation Manager at Emmaus Hertfordshire, Lin Oh, and companion Robert Branson, joined over 30 other people to take on the #DropFromTheTop abseil challenge and raised a combined total of £255.
The event, which was organised by Emmaus UK, saw Emmaus staff, companions and supporters from across the UK descend 220ft down the Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham city centre. The current fundraising total of over £8,000 will go towards building new rooms in Emmaus communities for people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.
A big congratulations to Lin and Rob for taking on the challenge!
