FirstPort property management company raises over £100,000 for Emmaus

This June marks the second anniversary of the charity partnership between Luton-based property management company FirstPort and Emmaus.  The FirstPort team has raised more than £100,000, which will enable Emmaus to help more homeless people on the road to rebuilding their lives.

The money raised by FirstPort employees, customers and clients has funded the building of four new rooms at Emmaus Hertfordshire and contributed to the addition of three new rooms at Emmaus Hampshire. 

Sallie Winterbottom, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Emmaus UK, said: “We’d like to thank all staff at FirstPort for their incredible support over the last two years. They have been amazing!

“Their staff have taken part in some really tough challenges including the London Marathon and climbing Snowdon, have fundraised in their offices, and have volunteered at Emmaus communities across the UK. In addition to all of this, the donations have been matched by FirstPort, doubling the total amount raised.

“FirstPort’s commitment will help to ensure the support we offer formerly homeless people, which includes providing a home, meaningful work and training for as long as they need it, can continue now and into the future.”
