When you visit our Secondhand Superstore in Mossley, you will find multiple areas packed with pre-loved items for sale including furniture, household goods, electrical appliances, clothes, books, music, bric-a-brac and much more.

We have our own workshops where items are repaired, refurbished, upcycled or upholstered if necessary and electrical goods are checked. Please visit us and look around our large charity store to see what we have as new stock arrives daily.

Our Secondhand Superstore is central to what we do as it:

  • Provides learning and work opportunities to the formerly homeless people who live and are supported at Emmaus
  • Provides the money for our charity to operate without any government grant
  • Extends the life of items, giving someone else the benefit of owning it and diverting it from landfill.

What do we sell?

Our ground floor stocks a wide range of secondhand furniture and we have a whole room dedicated to clothes, textiles and bric-a-brac. Upstairs we also have a large area dedicated to books, CDs, DVDs and computer games.

Zimmerman’s Emporium area is stocked full of interesting vintage goods, vinyl records and retro items. It also has some great artwork on the walls, created by one of our former companions. See who you can spot on our famous mural… John Lennon, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan to name but a few! From our Emporium, you will find the Collectables Room which contains antiques, vintage pieces, jewellery and items with a certain ‘uniqueness’ about them.

At the end of our yard, you’ll find The Shed – a newly renovated retail area stocked with all manner of project pieces, materials, tools, gardening items and DIY essentials.
