Emmaus Workshops starting soon
Register to take part in one of the first Emmaus Mossley Saturday workshops starting later this month.
Emmaus Workshops will launch on Saturday 17 February at our Longlands Mill base on Queen Street in Mossley. The workshops will give you the chance to learn and develop new skills in subjects ranging from sketching and photography to pottery and upcycling.
The first introductory workshop, Sketching Stories, will take place on Saturday 17 February, from 10am until 1pm. The workshop will be delivered by local artist Liz Ackerley – an urban sketcher with a particular interest in Reportage Illustration.
“I’m really looking forward to using the unique backdrop of Emmaus for this Sketching Stories workshop. Participants will learn a variety of techniques and hopefully be inspired to continue sketching the world around them.”

The following workshop, Capture Fab Photos, will take place on Saturday 24 February, aimed at anyone looking to improve their photography skills. More Emmaus Workshops are planned for March but places are limited and tickets need to be booked in advance.
“We’ve wanted to organise some Emmaus Workshops for our Saturday supporters for some time. Hopefully they will provide an opportunity for people to learn something new in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. The workshops starting in February are just the beginning and if they prove popular we intend to organise more throughout the year.”
