Emmaus Merseyside is a charity that provides a home, as well as education, training and work to people who have experienced homelessness.
Work is now complete at our brand new community building in the Seaforth and we have started to accept new members to our community. The building will eventually provide a home for 28 people. Each will have their own room, as well as access to communal dining, catering and training facilities.
Everyone living in our Emmaus community works in our social enterprise, at one of our three charity stores across Merseyside. Our main superstore, a large, former joinery workshop, sells good quality second-hand furniture, household goods and other items. All of the money generated from our social enterprises is re-invested to support formerly homeless people living at our community building.
