Charity art auction a "resounding success"
As mentioned in a previous story published on our website on 11th October, Local artists Nic McElhatton, Jonathan Feroze and friends were to hold a silent art auction in aid of Spires day centre in Streatham, Cancer Research UK and Emmaus Lambeth on 7th December at Rosebery auction house in West Norwood.
Nic contacted us today to give an update on how the evening went, and had this to say -
"The charity Art Auction on the 7th of December was a resounding success.
The 100+ guests attending the event bid generously and competitively in the silent and live auctions.
All the artworks in the auctions found new homes and raised a total of £13,000 to be divided equally between the three benefiting charities Emmaus Lambeth, Spires and CRUK.
Jonathan and I were delighted with the result, and we expressed our gratitude to everyone who attended and bid, especially to Ian Cadzow and his team at Roseberys Auctioneers in West Norwood for providing the venue and helping to facilitate the proceeding on the night".
Other artists who exhibited their work on the night included -

From everyone here at Emmaus Lambeth we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved!
