Anouck's story - Volunteering with Emmaus Lambeth
On 10th July 2017 we were joined by Anouck, a student from France, who is currently studying English and Portuguese at The Université de Nantes.
Anouck will be volunteering with us for 2 weeks and today she would like to share her story.
"I'm Anouck, a 19 years old french student. I am currently studying English and Portuguese at the language University of Nantes.
I learned that Emmaus Lambeth in London work heavily with volunteers and students so it was a perfect opportunity for me.
Working for a charity in England meant I had the chance to improve my English language skills , as well as creating new relationships and discovering the British culture which is so rich and full of surprises.
Emmaus, in my opinion, is very important in helping people who need relief and to act as a good cause for homelessness.
I would like to thank the whole team, and the companions who have been very kind".
A big thank you to Anouck for her story!
