A community leader, support manager, business manager, retail assistant and finance manager provide daily support and assistance to the Emmaus companions, the name we give to residents, whilst any specialist services are provided by local agencies and organisations.

Companions are provided with rent-free en-suite accommodation (including council tax, TV licences and utilities), food, clothing and a small weekly allowance. In return, they volunteer full-time in the community superstore; collecting, renovating and reselling donated goods.

This work supports the community financially and enables companions to develop skills, discover new talents and rebuild their self-respect.
