Join our community

At Emmaus Greenwich offers an alternative route out of homelessness by  providing the opportunity for homeless and other socially disadvantaged people to regain control of their lives by living and working alongside others in a supportive communal environment.

Emmaus companions have time to get back on their feet

Joining Emmaus Greenwich does mean that you need to be prepared to work to the best of your ability, and you also need to be completely honest about any issues past or present with drug and alcohol use. This will not affect your application, simply helps us to offer the best possible support.

You can self refer to an Emmaus community, or get someone else to help you fill in the forms. Find out more about the admission criteria at Emmaus Greenwich

Referrals from agencies

If your organisation would like to refer someone to the Emmaus community with a request for their admission to the community as a companion you will usually be asked to fill in our confidential referral form and risk assessment form, which you can email or post to us at 226 Elmley St, Earl Rise, Plumstead, London SE18 7NN.
