Emmaus volunteer wins Believe in Gloucester award
A woman who has volunteered at Emmaus Gloucestershire for 25 years has won in the volunteer category at this year's Believe in Gloucester Awards.
On Thursday 29 November, crowds gathered at Gloucester Rugby Kingsholm Stadium for the annual showcase which shines the light on those businesses, individuals, events and organisations which help make Gloucester a great place to live and work.
Long-standing volunteer Beth Boxall, who was nominated by Emmaus Gloucestershire, has dedicated her time as a volunteer in the Emmaus Nailsworth shop since helping to found the charity 25 years ago. As one of three candidates shortlisted, Beth highly impressed the judges with her dedication and commitment to Emmaus Gloucestershire and walked away with an award.
"Beth felt a great deal of pride and pleasure in representing the charity and was honoured to have been chosen to do so. During this charity focused evening, Beth was approached by many people expressing their interest and appreciation for the contribution that Emmaus makes to the community. A great night was had by both of us."
