Two male voice choirs are combining their vocal strengths to hold a concert on behalf of Emmaus South Wales.

The Gloucestershire-based choirs - Churchdown and Launceston – will perform at Churchdown Commmunity Centre, Parton Rd, Gloucester, Churchdown GL3 2JH at 7pm on 11 October 2014.

Between the two groups, the choir can boast a repertoire extending to over 50 pieces and covering a wide range of traditional and modern material.

Chorister and friend of Emmaus, Barry Woods, said: “It is the aim of our choir to take joy in singing, but also to take every opportunity to raise funds for worthwhile causes. As Emmaus Gloucestershire is the mentor community for Emmaus South Wales, it is our great pleasure to do what we can to contribute to the £1.2 million cost of establishing an Emmaus community in Bridgend, the first in Wales.”

Tickets can be ordered from the Emmaus Gloucestershire community at a cost of £7 per person. Just call 01452 413095 or email for more information.
