About us

Emmaus Gloucestershire provides accommodation for 32 companions

video

Each companion has their own room with a TV and is encouraged to furnish it to their taste from our shops. Shower, toilet facilities and washing machines are all shared, as is the central kitchen and dining room.

Companions are expected to work for 40 hours a week in one of our five shops or in the house. In return, they are provided with all basic requirements like food, clothing and toiletries. They each receive a small weekly allowance.

There are weekly house meetings in which companions can raise any worries or concerns and there is always at least one duty staff member to whom they can speak in confidence.
