Not long after their opening in early 2018, the Portuguese themed restaurant has been supporting Emmaus Dover with regular donations of chicken to the community. The delicious donations are greatly received by our companions, and the food has also been used at the local soup kitchen which companions volunteer at regularly.

The staff at Nando’s had recently gone above and beyond and decided to come to the site at Archcliffe Fort to cook up a tasty meal. It was a great evening and was the perfect opportunity for everyone to get together to enjoy an evening of food and laughter.

Debs Golden, Community Leader at Emmaus Dover, said: The food was delicious! The team at Nandos should all be very proud of themselves. It was great to see how well they interacted with the companions without any prejudices. What a fantastic team – their head office should know what great staff work for them!”

John Given, a companion at Emmaus Dover, said: It was great that the staff from Nandos took time out of their day to come up and cook for us and that they had a genuine interest in Emmaus and treated us with respect. The food was delicious and appreciated by everyone.”

Thank you so much to everyone at Nandos Dover, we appreciate your ongoing kind support.
