As part of an international movement, Emmaus UK and all of its members agree to abide by a universal manifesto. Recently, we were proud to attend an Emmaus International event at the venue in Bern where the original manifesto was signed in 1969.
Our Community Director Geraldine Tsakirakis attended the event on behalf of Emmaus UK, alongside colleagues from around the world and individuals who were there at the time fifty years ago.
The event included round table discussions and musical interludes organised by the Emmaus movement. At the venue 180 companions, friends, community leaders and employees, from all around the world, together discussed the meaning of the Emmaus Universal Manifesto yesterday, today and tomorrow.
