Colchester Emmaus has been chosen as the dedicated charity of the next Secret Vintage Fair. The popular event, organised by the Secret Vintage World, will be held between 10.30am-4pm on Saturday 23rd March at Colchester Town Hall.

Step back in time at the Town Hall for a vintage experience of shopping, music and hair and makeup, with a tearoom and cocktail bar to keep you refreshed.

Musicians JS and the Lockerbillies and Tricity Vogue will keep you entertained with some classic retro tracks throughout the day.

It’s the third time that the Secret Vintage Fair has supported Emmaus Colchester, with the upcoming event contributing a proportion of the entrance fee and 100% of the raffle proceeds to the charity.

Secret Vintage Fair’s, Janine Tompkins said: “We are proud of the work Emmaus do in the local community and homelessness is a huge issue in Colchester, which needs to be addressed and awareness of the issue raised, so we are pleased to do anything, no matter how small, to help its work.”

Gemma Aylesbury, visual merchandiser at Emmaus Colchester, said: “It’s wonderful that the Secret Vintage World has chosen us as its charity. We’re thrilled to receive the support to help our work in the Colchester community.”

Emmaus will be present at the event with a stall selling items perfect for vintage lovers. Gemma adds: “We’re looking forward to meeting shoppers with an interest in second-hand items and chatting to them about the work we do in the community and with our formerly homeless companions.

Events like this give us the opportunity to reach out to the community and explain the work we do to support our companions, by providing meaningful work and a stable home for as long as someone needs it.”

By subscribing you will receive regular updates and news from Emmaus Colchester. We will never sell or distribute your information to a third party.
