Emmaus Cambridge Director shortlisted for Director of the Year Awards
Emmaus Cambridge Director has been shortlisted for the Institute of Directors (IoD) East of England Director of the Year Awards 2019.
The awards, which place emphasis on individual excellence and achievement, gives the business community the opportunity to recognise the key role that directors play, not only in the UK's economy but also in job preservation and creation.
Emmaus Cambridge Director, Diane Docherty, has been shortlisted for the Director of the Year award for the work she does in running the charity's community in Landbeach, which provides a home for as long as needed to 44 formerly homeless people as well as the opportunity to gain new skills in its social enterprise.
I am surprised and honoured to have been shortlisted. For the past six and a half years, I have come to work every day feeling privileged to be able to do this job, so being shortlisted for an award is amazing.
All finalists will be attending a celebratory lunch on Friday 14 June in Newmarket, with the National IoD Director of the Year Awards taking place in London on Friday 18 October.
