Curry lovers Usha support for Emmaus Burnley
A charity curry evening at the award-winning Usha Restaurant has raised more than £1,300 for Emmaus Burnley.
On Monday 29 April, more than 100 diners attended Emmaus Burnley’s Charity Curry Evening at Usha Restaurant. Guests enjoyed a variety of Indian dishes, a charity raffle and talks from members of the Emmaus Burnley community.
“Thanks are due to Ibby and all of his staff team at the Usha Restaurant. Everyone had a great meal, a good night out and it is a very enjoyable way of raising money for a very worthy charity.”
Peter Pike, supporter at Emmaus Burnley and organiser of the event
Emmaus Burnley supports formerly homeless people by providing them with a stable home and meaningful work for as long as they need it. The charity operates two social enterprises in Burnley and Rochdale with all the money raised used to help people out of homelessness.
“It was another great evening at Usha Restaurant with lots of supporters turning out to enjoy a fantastic meal whilst supporting the work of Emmaus Burnley. We give sincere thanks to all those who attended and I would like to give special thanks to the organisers – Peter Pike and the team at Usha Restaurant.”
Stephen Buchanan, Director at Emmaus Burnley
