Give someone fresh hope this spring.
In the spring edition of Emmaus@work, we featured two former companions who had been living and working at our communities in Leeds and Dover, helping them to make a fresh start.
For both Alistair and Nick, losing their job was the root cause of their homelessness – something that could happen to any of us. Having spent time sleeping rough, moving to an Emmaus community gave them the time and stability they needed to pause, reflect and rebuild their confidence, before moving on to the next stage in their lives.
Alistair and Nick were able to access the unique package of support that Emmaus provides and both feel that the chance to get back to work was extremely important to them.
A donation today would help more people like Alistair and Nick make a fresh start.
The latest rough sleeper figures, published by the Department for Communities and Local Government, show just how much your help is still needed. In England, there are now an estimated 4,134 people sleeping rough every night; a 16% increase compared to the previous year.
