Emmaus Village Carlton endures Sport Relief Run

On Sunday 16th March, Sport Relief Fun Run Day, nine Companions from Emmaus Village Carlton, led by their Community Leader Helen Jago, plus another member of staff, Phyll Hutchings, and Kevin Cantwell, a Trustee and minibus driver for the day, took part in the mile run/walk at Cranfield University in Bedfordshire. A total of £570 was raised through sponsorship for Sport Relief which was a great team effort. One Companion, Tony excelled in running 6 miles, and another, Adam came third in the mile race. Well done everybody. This was a good example of solidarity, and nice to see Emmaus Companions helping others, when given the opportunity.
