Furniture and household goods
We welcome good quality donations. See below for details of items we DO and DO NOT accept. Please take your donation to our shop in West Norwood. Alternatively, contact the shop at 020 8670 3511 or email us at mailto:esldonations@btconnect.com to arrange for a collection.

Please note that we do not collect in North, West and East London or outside London.
We can collect in Central London if the donation consists of a substantial number of items and if there are reasonable parking facilities. We do ask donors to pay the congestion charge for us.
We CAN accept:
• most furniture including beds and sofas
• sofas must have the appropriate fire labels and should not have any stains, tears or other damage
• we can only accept mattresses which are as good as new or new
• fridges and freezers in good working condition (we need to see the item plugged in and working otherwise unfortunately we cannot collect)
• televisions, stereos, dvd players and video recorders (all these items need to have remote controls)
• books, videos, dvds, records
• china, vases, glassware, figurines
• mirrors, pictures, clocks
• and other household goods...
When our new building opens late this year we will be able to accept donations of washing machines and dishwashers, so watch this space!
We CANNOT accept:
• toys
• microwaves, heating appliances, cookers
• IT equipment
• anything that is broken or dirty
• tables without chairs
• Washing machines
• Gas appliances
• Metal Sofa beds
• Child car seats
• Motorcycle helmets
Please note that our driver makes the final decision to accept or decline furniture. He will carefully select only the items that are saleable in our shops.
If you fall outside our strict quality controls we will refer you to Lambeth Bulky Refuse Collection (t: 020 7926 9000).
