Sofa from home
A sofa is often at the heart of a home. Many of the residents of Emmaus Communities have had nowhere they could call home for a very long time. At Emmaus Communities previously homeless people are offered a safe place to stay and the opportunity to work for themselves and others. Emmaus residents work in the Community’s business which is selling donated furniture, including sofas. Donate or buy a sofa in an Emmaus shop and you will be giving both people and furniture a new lease of life.
We're encouraging people to say what home means to them. Using the symbol of a sofa, we are asking people to submit pictures of themselves sitting on their sofas with a caption explaining what their sofa means to them.
For example:

"A sofa alone means nothing. A sofa with my family on means everything."
