On the Road for Emmaus
During 2008 Emmaus are planning to create a new Community in Salford, an area Ian Orrell has been involved with for many years. He intends to undertake a sponsored walk from Lands End to John O’ Groats to raise money for this project.
His walk starts on April 1st because of the longer hours of daylight (and it's a memorable date!) and will spend about 9 weeks on the road. Ian says ‘I'll walk approximately 1,000 miles in all, so if you can afford a donation of £10 you'll be spurring me on with 1p per mile!’
