Open Day at The Birches

Emmaus Preston opened its doors on Saturday 25th June 2011 for their first Open Day of the year. It was a great event with a steady stream of people from the local area and further afield,coming along to see our community. There was a chance to buy plants from our garden, have a cup of tea and a cake as well as look around on an 'official tour' of the community. All the staff, volunteers and companions worked very hard to make the day a success and we have had requests to open a cafe for local residents....so watch this space!
