Preston Finally Opens

After years of planning and development Emmaus Preston finally has opened its doors. The team have welcomed the first companions, Martin and Terry. The Preston Community is now actively planning the opening of its secondhand superstore.

Our Site - the Birches

On the 25th January 2007, Emmaus Preston became the proud owner of The Birches - an ex-County Council Care Home that was occupied by elderly residents up until July 2006. The plan is to raise £1m of funding that will allow for the refurbishment of the building into a fully-operating Emmaus Community, and the setting up of the furniture recycling business that the Companions will work in.
