Archers star adds his story to Emmaus campaign

Long-term Emmaus supporter Tim Bentinck (aka David Archer from Radio 4) has just contributed his story to The Day That Changed My Life Campaign.

His story is an honest account of the day that his mother died:

"It took a long time for it really to sink in. I remember feeling like they must have got it wrong, that she’d just gone away for a bit and would be home soon. I developed an emotional shield that stopped me from suffering too much, and this has stayed with me into adulthood. I’m very bad at death and tragedy, I just go cold and unemotional."

The website now has 112 stories of the significant days in the lives of Companions,Emmaus Staff, volunteers, members of the public and celebrity supporters.
