Day that Changed my Life campaign reaches 100 stories
The Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown became the 100th person to add their story to the Day that Changed my Life Campaign yesterday. The Campaign website is helping to make the voices of homeless and formerly homeless people heard, featuring Emmaus residents, celebrities and the public describing significant moments in their lives.
For Mrs Brown, the most recent life-changing event was when her husband became Prime Minister:
"A few moments stand out - especially the walk down the corridor just after we arrived back from the Palace. On the inside side of the famous number 10 black door the staff were all lined up along the corridor to clap and cheer. Right at the end of that first long walk our two little boys were there to welcome their Dad to his new office."
The Day that Changed my Life Campaign is marking the 60th Anniversary of Emmaus. Visit the website at www.daythatchangedmylife.co.uk to find out more and add your voice.
