When Jerry met Terry and Kerry

On 10th June, the eagerly awaited sale of model and actress Jerry Hall's dresses in support of Emmaus took place at Sotheby's. The event was organised by Kerry Taylor Auctions.

Jerry Hall and Terry Waite, President of Emmaus in the UK, both spoke of their delight at the success of the sale which raised £28,000.

Jerry said: “I am so happy that my old things have been recycled into £28,000 for Emmaus,” and Terry added: “Those who have bought today have captured a piece of pop culture history. Jerry Hall’s generosity will make a huge difference to the homeless, supported by Emmaus.”

Afterwards, Kerry Taylor spoke enthusiastically about the sale: “We are pleased to have been involved in selling Jerry’s collection. A new generation of women will now be able to enjoy wearing these clothes from all parts of the globe. Jerry has cleared some wardrobe space and helped homeless people at the same time."

The money raised by the auction will be used to support the 27 Emmaus Groups and Communities across the UK.
