Double Birthday Celebrations
Two Communities recently celebrated their fourth birthday. Both Emmaus Bristol and Emmaus Leeds commemorated four years of successful Community life with their own special events.
In Bristol the focus was on solidarity, with the Community raising £1000 for a project which helps the poorest people in Bulgaria. The business of the Community is going from strength to strength, with profits on the rise and a new shop in Bedminster.
In Leeds Companions were at the centre of the celebrations, with Emmaus President Terry Waite attending a birthday party at the Community and sharing with residents and staff alike, a reaffirmation of what Emmaus Leeds is all about.
Both Communities used their 4 year anniversaries to reflect on the success they have had so far and to look forward to what the future will bring.
