Emmaus Preston offers homeless people a home, work and the chance to rebuild their lives in a supportive environment. We are also an independent charity and company limited by guarantee, as well as a member of the national Emmaus Federation.
We are seeking a Treasurer to join our existing Board of Trustees and help support the financial affairs of the Emmaus Preston Community.
In particular, we are looking for an individual who has:
- A background in accountancy
- Financial management experience
- The ability to think strategically and present ideas to the board
Ideally, we would like the sucessful candidate to have some appreciation of the legal duties and liabilities of Trusteeship and previous experience of the charity sector.
Serving as Trustee can be a valuable and rewarding experience, and an opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals who share your values and commitment.
Meetings are held at Emmaus Preston and the commitment is likely to be a minimum of 8-12 hours each month.
