Emmaus is a growing national charity providing a home and work for previously homeless men and women.

We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Worker to undertake general maintenance duties within Community buildings, domestic areas, retail outlets, office lettings as well as extensive Community grounds, as directed by the Maintenance Manager. The work will be interesting and varied, consisting of general maintenance duties such as plumbing and drainage work, painting and decorating, carpentry and woodwork as well as responding to emergency requests.

Another key aspect of this role, is the involvement in Companion development, where the post holder will work alongside Companions providing coaching and supervision.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience of practical maintenance work including plumbing and carpentry. You will also have proven knowledge and experience of health and safety and the principals of risk assessment. You will also have a keen interest in the Emmaus.
