Hippos help at Hampshire
The new build at Emmaus Hampshire continues to set new standards of sustainability. Many building projects aim for about a 30% recycling/re-use rate of materials, but the developers at Hampshire, Amiri, have achieved an amazing 92% rate.
They sort their unwanted materials into 'Hippo' bags instead of just putting them all into skips, making it much easier to reclaim useful materials.
Despite the poor summer weather, the building at Hampshire has progressed quickly, and the 'topping out' ceremony is scheduled to take place at the end of October.

Emmaus Hampshire hope to welcome their first Companions in Spring 2009.
