Barclays Spruce Up Emmaus Greenwich Living & Dining Areas
Nine Barclays employees 'donned their overalls' from Barclays Private Banking and took part in a Community Challenge in aid of Emmaus Greenwich. The team carried out the Challenge as part of the Barclays employees volunteering programme and the Employer Supported Volunteering Project, at Volunteers Centre Greenwich. The employees worked together to decorate the living and dining communal areas within the building, to brighten up their environment. Barclays were able to contribute £300 towards the cost of materials. This activity made a difference to the community. Philip and Andrea, who led the team said 'It was a great day out of the office; it was very rewarding to be able to redecorate two rooms in one day. It was fun for us and we hope we've made a contribution to the community.'
