Emmaus Marathon success
Congratulations to our five Emmaus London Marathon runners who braved the crowds and heat in London yesterday.
Ahead of the pack is Daniel Jeffries who completed the Marathon in 4 hours 45 minutes.
Not far behind him was Keaton Lee, who finished in 4 hours 45 minutes.
Next was Emmaus Sheffield Community Leader Lawrence Buckley who completed the course in 4 hours 55 minutes.
Musician and psychotherapist James Taylor, who ran for Emmaus Greenwich took 5 hours and 15 minutes.
The veteran of the team was Brian Day, Chair of Emmaus Norwich. He got round in 6 hours 30 minutes and highlights from his day were seeing: "Three people in rhino costumes, a couple inside a horse, a man wearing a sign saying 'officially the oldest runner' and a couple of soldiers running for SSAFA wearing a spitfire and a helicopter!".
There's still time to sponsor our runners, if you have not already done so, to help them reach the target.
