Welcome to Emmaus Gateshead
Emmaus Gateshead are working to establish an Emmaus Community in North East England.
Our vision is to enable previously homeless people to rebuild their lives through a social enterprise that enriches and involves the local community.
The Emmaus Gateshead Community will help people discover new confidence and self-respect through working with others, and contributing to the life of the wider community. Once established, our Community will not only provide a home, work and companionship for up to 40 people each year, it will also create jobs and volunteering opportunties for local people.
Emmaus Gateshead aims to become be a flagship Social Enterprise in the North East, working in partnership with local Councils, other charitable bodies, and community groups.
Support Douglas Ball, Chair of Emmaus Gateshead Trustees, in his 1300 mile walk to raise the profile of homeless people in NE England.
Please note that we are not yet able to accept donations of furniture or household goods.
