Terry Waite to open latest Emmaus shop in Leamington Spa

On the afternoon of the 16th of November Terry Waite, President of Emmaus UK, will launch the latest Emmaus shop, in Leamington High Street.

Vicki Urch, Director at Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire says;“We are very glad to be able to open another shop which, like our original shop in Coventry, will be run by residents from our Community. Emmaus transforms lives because of its focus on self help and working together. Customers to our shops not only pick up a bargain, but can be confident in the knowledge that their purchase will make a real contribution towards changing lives. We are delighted that our President Terry Waite is able to be there to help us celebrate this new development.”

As part of the launch there will be a fashion show of some of the clothes that are for sale in both the Coventry and Leamington shops. The clothes will be a mixture of vintage items and outfits that have been modified by Coventry and staff at Emmaus Coventry.

Terry Waite will also be auctioning an item to raise money for Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire. The Mayor of Leamington Spa Robert Cunliffe and his wife Helen will be present, as will Local Councillor Bertie Mckay.
