Emmaus Burnley Curry Favour at Fundraiser
Supporters of Emmaus Burnley recently enjoyed a fundraising Curry Evening at Aroma Restaurant which raised over £800 for the charity.
Such events have proved popular in the past and this was no exception, with 100 curry loving Emmaus friends and supporters gathering at the restaurant. Peter Pike, Chair of the Emmaus Burnley Group, updated guests on the progress of the project; which is still on course to welcome its first Companions in October.
Emmaus Burnley would like to express thanks to all the staff at Aroma for making the event possible. Pictured above is Mr Pike with Aroma's head chef, Salem Miah, preparing one of the dishes for the event.
