Be creative for Emmaus

Use your talent!

Whatever your talent - be it art, music or dance - find a creative new way to support Emmaus.

When painter Martine Mercy held an art exhibition at her home, she decided to donate the entrance fee and 10% of the profit on the paintings she sold to Emmaus.

“Being born in Courbevoie, France in 1953, I have kept an affinity with the Emmaus Community and Abbé Pierre as it is in the town where I was born that the first ‘cité d’urgence’ (aid centre) was opened. Men and women were able to sleep, eat and be warm indoors instead of living outside and sleeping on the French pavements, in freezing temperatures, during the bitterly cold winter of 1954.”

"Wanting to support the Emmaus philosophy, I felt that incorporating art, which can pass on a very powerful message, could be very effective. Apart from sharing your art with others, you are participating in helping people to rebuild their lives and regain self respect.”

“Do not hesitate to use your art to help the Emmaus Community.”
