Federation Office

The Emmaus UK Federation Office provides support and co-ordination to Communities and Groups in the UK. It employs about 25 full and part-time staff and is based in Cambridge.

Communication and information sharing
Federation staff help to ensure that information and best practice is shared between Communities and Groups, via internal publications, an extranet, and various meetings and events throughout the year. The new Emmaus website was launched at the National Assembly in December 2007.

Supporting Communities
The Federation Office provides Communities with support and advice on a range of subjects such as charity law, local publicity, fundraising, recruitment and employment issues.

Supporting Groups
The Federation Office can provide help with all aspects of developing a successful Emmaus Community from fundraising and feasiblity studies to business and charity registration.

Raising awareness and fundraising
The Federation Office raises national and local awareness through advertising and publicity. It also produces a range of information about the work of Emmaus, as well as raising funds nationally to support existing and emerging Emmaus Communities in the UK.
